2.1 Information You Provide

Email address - if you join our waitlist or contact us for enquiries. Waitlist sign-ups are processed by EmailOctopus (see Third-Party Services)
Social media account tokens - when you connect platforms (Twitter/X, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok) to SocialClaw, we store OAuth access tokens to post on your behalf
Content you create - post text, uploaded images, and videos that you compose through SocialClaw

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

Our coming soon page does not use cookies, tracking pixels, or analytics tools. We do not collect any data automatically from visitors at this time.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Draft and suggest social media posts for your review using AI
Publish social media posts to platforms you have connected
Schedule and manage your content
Improve the quality of the drafts we suggest, based on your feedback and edits
Respond to your enquiries and support requests
Notify you about product updates if you have opted in

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely and we take reasonable measures to protect it from unauthorised access, alteration, or destruction. Social media access tokens are stored in an encrypted database. Uploaded media files are stored on our servers and are not publicly accessible.

We rely on a small number of third-party services to run SocialClaw. Each has its own privacy policy.

5.1 Social Media Platforms

When you connect a social media account, we interact with that platform's API on your behalf:

5.2 AI Content Generation

SocialClaw uses an AI model provided by Anthropic (Claude) to draft posts for you. To produce a draft, we send your brief, recent post history, and the feedback you give on previous drafts to Anthropic's API. Every draft is presented to you for review - you decide what, if anything, is published. Anthropic does not use data sent through its API to train its models. We may use your feedback and edits to improve the suggestions SocialClaw makes to you.

5.3 Email

Waitlist sign-ups and email enquiries are handled by EmailOctopus, which stores your data in the UK.

6. Your Rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your data
Withdraw consent at any time
Disconnect any linked social media account
Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO)

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. If you request deletion of your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, unless we are required by law to retain it.
